| Ray Alba and his twin brother Rennie have been competitive cyclist since 1977. Back then we wore wool jerseys and shorts which itched us like mad. By 1980, lycra was introduced to the sport and I can say that I was very happy.
In the course of my racing history I have done over 500 races and placed in many of them. By 1996, at the age of 28, I decided to retire from the sport only to find my self 7 years later getting back into it. I missed the competition, the fitness and the thrill of victory.
I hope that I can teach many of the newcomers how to race and be a valuable asset in team winnings.
Due to his injury this past season we look forward to his return in 2006. Look for him managing the team at the larger races like univest.
