Andrew Kozak brought his pasion for cycling to Hells Kitchen Cycling Team at the end of the '03 season with the objective to train more efficiently and maybe try some racing. This resulted in a number of top ten finishes at Floyd Bennet Field in '04 and '05. This season he introduced the team to its current title sponsor Champ. Sys. and co-sponsor Babo Teahouse. He said what he values most from the experience is the great commraderie of his teammates.
Aside from racing Kozak participated in local century rides and bike tours of Tuscany, Mekong Delta, Basque Country, Hanoi to Saigon, Katmandu Valley, China, Hong Kong and getting lost in New Jersey. Current favorites are still Catskill Mts and SF bay area. Favorite bike is Look 381i
Born in Detroit, Kozak moved to Manhattan after graduation from Wayne State Univ. and worked for commercial interior design studios as well as a facilities project manager for wall street firms. He continues to work as a freelance consultant. He also has a keen interest in photography and looks forward to getting some good shots of his team mates in a victory salute at the finish line in '06.
